Settings/About device/Repair and formatting tools/Delete device configuration and installed applications This will uninstall all your apps from your device, including the Google apps. You can reinstall them again afterwards. Michael

I just installed Google Market by following the instructions. Now, the A5 is 200% more useful. Thanks to the hackers and all other helpers!

Can you insert the link for the instructions you used to install market4archos? Maybe I was doing something wrong. What firmware are you using. I am using 2.0.28 and was wondering if that was the problem

I just installed Google Market by following the instructions. Now, the A5 is 200% more useful. Thanks to the hackers and all other helpers!

Ok, I followed map002 instructions and went into Settings/About device/Repair and formatting tools/Delete device configuration and installed applications After I restarted and went through the archos configurations, I setup my connection to my router again, went into Settings/Security and Location and made sure the first 3 items were checked. I opened the Internet browser and signed into my gmail account. I then installed market4archos. When it was done I pressed the reset button to reset the archos. When it started back up it went through the process of completing the market4archos setup. I put in my gmail account info and it signed right in! I hope this helps anyone else who is having the trouble that I did. Thank you map002 for the info Ace

When I follow the steps, Apps Market fails to open. It gives me a white screen with an error screen 'Attention: an error has occurred. Please try again later.' No matter how many iterations, no matter which download I use. I still get stuck with 'Attention, An error has occurred. PLease try again later.' All other google apps are working. Just the apps market gives me the error. Im running Android 1.6, firmware version 2.0.28 on the Archos 5 IT. Ive tried dumb people computer stuff, like rebooting, power cycling airplane mode, reinitializing before reinstalling, clearing the applications before reinstalling, etc. I tried jkkmobile's hack way back when; it worked then. I just bought another device and am trying to get apps market on the archos. The push command line and the new USB apk fail to work. I've tried it about 50 times. Anybody have any ideas?

I have the same problem as archosbrain123......everytime I try to login to the android market I get a blank white page that says Attention! an error has occurred,please try again later. WTF??!!!! Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Well, everytime I try to sign in, I get the error 'Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server.' I am on firmware 2.0.28 on my 5IT and I've been trying for weeks. I know my google account is ok as I can login to it fine on a PC. Just released, I forgot to turn on the sync option...duh !!! Anyway, I now get past the login problem, now instead get 'An error has occured. Please try agian later.'

I did not change anything but the market app is working now, the new problem is with the downloads, it says that the download is begining but nothing happens. Also,when i try to enable the wifi location in the 'my location' panel,to use google maps for example, it says that the system proces crashes and i have to shutdown the archos using the botton. How can i fix this?
